South Tanzania

Katavi National park is the Tanzania’s third largest park, it lies in the remote South West of the country. With just few hundred visitors a year it is one of the most unspoiled wilderness area in Africa. You will find high quality game viewing with impressive herds of buffalos , huge concentration of hippos, abundance of elephant, giraffe, zebra, impala. Predators are plentiful, especially lion and leopard .With over 400 species of birds identified particularly around the lakes it is a paradise for bird watching.

Ruaha is the second biggest park in Tanzania. July to November is the best time to visit the park when wildlife concentrate on the banks of the Great Ruaha river. Like Katavi, Ruaha is one of the least visited park offering great game viewing, and the scenery is at is best.
