Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp is part of the Sanctuary Retreats range of discrete, high end camps and lodges. This tented camp nestles high on a flat ridge in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, within the national park itself and close to a now famous group of Gorillas, the Rushegura family, lucky guests may have the chance for a gorilla encounter without even leaving Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp.The camp is an ideal base for gorilla tracking in Bwindi. Guests can dine under the stars and relax by the roaring campfire. On cooler evenings, the central cottage provides a warm shelter. The eight tents are feature wooden floors and decks, with two comfortable warm queen sized beds in each room. each tent has a huge bathtub that looks straight into the jungle canopy ideal for soaking tired muscles after a day spent observing and meeting gorillas.
A full English and continental breakfast is served before the morning activity.
All meals are à la carte and served in the bar and dining area overlooking the rainforest.
Dinner is four to five courses each evening, one of the favourite dish is – Matoke rolled chicken with creamed spinach and ground nut sauce. (Matoke is the plantain banana in Uganda)
