Upon arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, guests will be met and transferred by camp transfer to The Elephant Camp, where they will stay for two nights.
Situated on a private concession within and bounded by the Masuwe River and Zambezi gorges, The Elephant Camp has breathtaking views of the Victoria Falls’ spray, and the spectacular gorges that separate Zimbabwe from Zambia. The Elephant Camp is a luxury and intimate lodge under canvas within easy reach of Victoria Falls and all its attractions and activities, yet secluded in its own private game reserve so as to allow close-up encounters with wildlife. The Elephant Camp offers close interaction with wildlife – in particular elephants at the Wild Horizons Wildlife Sanctuary. All guests will have the opportunity of meeting the elephants at the Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary. All other activities on offer in Victoria Falls as well as Spa treatments are available at an additional cost and can be booked at the lodge.
Overnights The Elephant Camp BLD
After a morning activity and breakfast, guests will be transferred by road to Victoria Falls Airport, for their onward light air transfer flight to Little Makalolo, where they will stay for three nights. Little Makalolo Camp is an intimate bush camp in the heart of Hwange National Park, offering a true bush experience yet with comfort and true Zimbabwean hospitality. Hwange is legendary for its wonderful array of wildlife and massive herds of elephant and Buffalo – especially in the drier winter months.
There are excellent opportunities to view game: safaris are conducted in open 4×4 vehicles during the early morning and late afternoon when game is most active. Walking safaris are also offered and are accompanied by an armed professional guide.
Overnights Little Makalolo BLD
After breakfast, guests will be transferred by road to Makalolo Airstrip for their light air transfer flight to Kariba Airport. Upon arrival guests will be met and transferred by road to Kariba harbour, from where they will be transferred by boat to Bumi Hills Safari Lodge, where they will stay for two nights.Sitting atop a hill commanding magnificent Lake Kariba vistas, Bumi Hills Safari Lodge is the ultimate “rest and relaxation” retreat located 55km south west of Kariba town. The lodge stretches out towards the lake where elephant and buffalo graze on the shoreline below with zebra, wildebeest, waterbuck and impala. In Matusadona National Park nearby, one might spot black rhino, leopard or lion on the prowl. Bumi Hills Safari Lodge offers 10 luxury suites and 10 standard bedrooms each offering a view of the lake and wildlife can be seen grazing on the shoreline. Facilities in the rooms include en-suite bathrooms, overhead fans, air-conditioning and a balcony or veranda.
The Lodge offers a variety of activities which include game viewing in open safari vehicles, on foot accompanied by a professional guide and by boat. The sunset cruise provides guests with wonderful photographic opportunities especially of the famous Kariba sunsets and the hide enables you to observe the animals at first hand and offers superb bird watching. Casual fishing is also available thus giving you the chance to challenge the lake’s fierce fighting tiger fish. Cultural encounters can be arranged in neighbouring villages for an insight into the rich, ancient culture of the Tonga people.
Overnights Bumi Hills Safari Lodge BLD
The following morning after breakfast, guests will be transferred by road to Bumi Airstrip for their onward light air transfer flight to Mana West Airstrip. On arrival, they will be met and transferred by road to Ruckomechi Camp, where they will stay for three nights. Situated on the western boundary of Mana Pools National Park, Ruckomechi Camp lies on the banks of the Zambezi, shaded by a large grove of acacia and mahogany trees and with a superb view of the mountains of Africa’s Great Rift Valley across the river in Zambia. The area is renowned for large numbers of elephant, buffalo, hippo and eland, especially in the winter when they concentrate along the river. Activities include wildlife viewing in open 4×4 vehicles, on motorised pontoon boats, on foot and in canoes.
Overnights Ruckomechi Camp BLD
Following an early morning breakfast, guests will be transferred by road to Mana West Airstrip for their onward light air transfer flight to Harare Airport for their onward travel arrangements.
