This once-in-a-lifetime experience takes you from the swamp-fringed lakes, acacia woodlands and forested gorges of the Lake Mburo National Park, which is home to the last surviving Ugandan population of the gigantic eland antelope, to the dark shady jungles of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to spend some time with the highly endangered mountain gorillas. Mountainous and heavily forested terrain make for a challenging hike to see these incredible creatures, however this unforgettable experience to sit in the presence of these amazing creatures that share 98% of our DNA is one not to be missed.

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 02 Kigali - Bwindi Forest
Today go for a Kigali Genocide Museum tour. After the tour, transfer (approximately 5hrs) to Bwindi with a packed lunch crossing Rwanda and Uganda borders enroute

Day 03 Gorilla Tracking Day
You will have an early start from the lodge driving to the nearby park headquarters where you receive a briefing. Then you’re off on a drive that may last anything from 10 minutes to 2 hours before we start your gorilla track. The tracking can be strenuous because of the steep slopes and the high altitude. Initially, you will walk along established paths, your ranger coordinating with the advance trackers by radio to guide you in to the gorillas last know location. As you get to where the gorillas are, you will leave the paths and begin hacking your way through the slippery underbrush. Your privileged party of 8 and ranger approach the gorillas to spend your magical hour with them. The hour passes all too quickly, and then it’s time to reluctantly make your way back to your waiting vehicles.

Day 04 Southern Bwindi Forest - Kigali
Today morning go for a Batwa/Pygmy cultuarl experience and after transfer approximately 5hrs to Kigali for dinner and overnight.
