After breakfast proceed towards your next destination, Tarangire National Park, a quiet and scenic park with giant baobab trees and the park has some of the highest population density of elephants in Tanzania. Tarangire River attracts wide variety and concentration of migratory animal including elephant, wildebeest, zebra, eland and oryx. Tarangire is also a bird lovers’ paradise, with about 450 species.

Today you will spend the day in Lake Manyara National Park.
This relatively small wilderness reserve was named after the alkaline lake filled with thousands of flamingos roaming the banks for food and hippos bathing in the waters. However the most famous inhabitants of this park are the tree-climbing lions. Picnic lunch in the park. In the afternoon, you will proceed towards your next destination, the shore of lake Eyasi.
Overnight Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp BLD
Have a light breakfast and leave the lodge by 6:00 in the morning and join a Wahadzabe group for a walk in the bush. Usually animals are more active early in the morning before the sun get to hot and late afternoon after the sun cools down. We will spend few hours with bushmen hiking and hunting while pointing out local medicine they use for treating common disease. Visit to the Datoga, who are famous for their blacksmithing skills. Men do metal work over open fires, crafting arrowheads, spears, knives and jewelry for themselves and their friends, as well as to sell to other tribes, such as the Wahadzabe. Return to the lodge late morning for breakfast. Leaving the salty Lake Eyasi and the dusty hills, you will climb steadily through the Ngorongoro Highlands before reaching the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. A brief stop will be made at the viewpoint so that you may admire the vista of the crater some two thousand feet below.

Leaving early in the morning with picnic lunch, you will spend the morning game driving on the floor of the crater. The bottom of the crater dotted with watering-holes, shelters almost 30 000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. Covering an area of 259 sq.kms and standing at 2236m above sea level, it is called the eighth wonder of the world. After a picnic lunch, enjoy a 2 hours hike on the Olmoti Crater, climb through forest to the shallow grassy crater. There is beautiful waterfall of the Munge River.

Leaving the vast plains of Serengeti for the Ngorongoro highlands, you will visit a Maasai village and the Olduvai Gorge museum. It was here that Louis and Mary Leakey found early human fossils back in 1959. Picnic lunch on site. After lunch proceed towards Karatu to Kitela lodge. The lodge’s 20 cottages rises up on the hillside of a valley with beautiful views of a coffee plantation.
