Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival Arusha

    On arriving at Kilimanjaro airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your lodge.

  • Day 2 & 3 : Arusha - Tarangire

    After breakfast, with your personal driver-guide you will proceed towards Tarangire National parks where you will stay for 2 nights.
    Tarangire National Park  is characterized by giant Baobab trees and big herds of Elephants, herds of up to 300 elephants scratch the dry river bed for underground streams, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons.

  • Day 4 : Lake Manyara - Ngorongoro Crater

    Today you will spend most of the day in Lake Manyara National Park. This relatively small wilderness reserve was named after the alkaline lake filled with thousands of flamingos roaming the banks for food and hippos bathing in the waters. However the most famous inhabitants of this park are the tree-climbing lions. Picnic lunch in the park. In Afternoon you will proceed to your camp located on the the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.

  • Day 5 : Ngorongoro Crater

    Today an early start takes you to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a world-renowned conservation area and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The large volcanic caldera, which stands at 2236m above sea level and spans an area of 259 square kilometres, teems with wildlife and is considered to be one of the Wonders of the Natural World. Dotted with watering holes that attract a diverse variety of game, the bottom of the crater is home to more than 30 000 animals which are enclosed and protected by the slopes of the volcano. You will spend the day exploring this spectacular area, soaking up the breathtaking natural scenery and experiencing the incredible array of fauna and flora that reside within it.

  • Day 6 : Ngorongoro Crater - Central Serengeti

    After breakfast, we will head to the central Serengeti, whose endless variety of landscapes such as the Seronera Valley is a year-round game-viewing mecca. The low hills, rolling grasslands, black clay pans and huge acacia trees attract a diverse array of game from giraffe, eland, and buffalo to their predators such as lions, hyenas, cheetahs, and leopards. Exploring the terrain in four-wheel drive vehicles will help you to get a better sense of the changing terrain and offer even greater opportunities for the possibility of seeing a variety of different animal encounters.

  • DAY 7: Northern Serengeti

    After breakfast, you will head to the northern Serengeti. Continuing their journey from the plains of the western Serengeti, the wildebeest migration follows the rain into Kenya and the Masai Mara Game Reserve on their annual migration north. To reach the fertile grasslands of the Masai Mara, the wildebeest have to cross several rivers, many of which are raging with floodwaters, creating a formidable and often life-threatening obstacle to conquer. Join us to watch this spine-chilling event as the wildebeest cross the Mara River for greener pastures. Located on the banks of the Mara River, your camp for the next three nights is set up on a ridge under large shady evergreen trees on the edge of the northern Serengeti Wilderness zone, which is a fabulous location to spot herds of wildebeest crossing the Mara river.

  • Day 8 & 9 : Northern Serengeti

    Stretching from Lobo for about 70km north to the Kenyan border, the northern Serengeti features lush, rolling grassland and tree-lined waterways around which the Serengeti migration circulates,over 1.4 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebras and gazelle grazing, while their young frolick and play. Where there is prey, there are predators and you will also have the chance to spot the big cats – lion, cheetah and possibly, leopard. The spectacular area of land between the Mara River and the Kenya Border, known as the Lamai Wedge, includes the picturesque Wogakuria Kopjes, and a beautiful series of game-rich valleys and plains. This area is dominated by the mighty Mara River and home to an abundance of wildlife from large herds of buffalo, elephant, and wildebeest, as well as great pride of lions and many cheetahs. The Mara River is full of crocodiles and hippos, making the Great Migration here crossing even more breathtaking.

  • Day 10 : Departure Day

    Drive to the nearest airstrip and fly to Arusha, where lunch will have been arranged, there will be a shopping opportunity and a day use room will be at your disposal. Later on you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home. BL
