Following breakfast your guide-driver will pick you up at your hotel to commence a full day private Quito City & Center of the World Tour (lunch included). The tour begins with a great view of the Orellana path and Guapulo Sanctuary (XVII Century). Afterwards you will take a walk in the old city starting in the oldest street of the city, La Ronda, which used to be the home of musicians, poets and politics back in time. Learn about the different local spices that are used for the typical Ecuadorian gastronomy, visit the house of handicrafts made of metal and wood and stop in the ice cream house and chocolate house where you will see how the Ecuadorian chocolate is produced. Afterwards proceed to the Independence Square, which is surrounded by important historical buildings. Visit the Cathedral (XVI Century), the Presidential Palace, El Sagrario Church (XVII Century), La Compañia de Jesus (XVII Century), one of the most beautiful baroque churches in South America, as well as the Church of San Francisco and Monastery, built a few months after the arrival of the Spaniards (XVI Century). Then drive 30 km north of Quito, towards the Middle of the World where the equatorial line divides the northern and southern hemispheres. You will visit the main monument built in honor of the French scientific expedition that arrived in Ecuador in the XVIII century to determine the correct location of the equator line and the opportunities to visit the Ethnographic Museum and the Inti Ñan Museum. Later you will return to your hotel.

You will be transferred to the Quito Airport and depart on a morning flight (30 minutes) over the eastern Andes to the jungle town of Coca. Following a warm welcome arrival at 11 AM you will begin your Amazon adventure 5 minutes away at the Francisco de Orellana Port. Board a motorized canoe downstream the Napo River, the major tributary of the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador. During the 2 hour trip, you will have the chance to see different birds such as kingfishers, herons and other and admire the incredible views of the Amazon jungle (box lunch will be provided). Take a short break at the dock entrance to freshen up and use the restrooms. Then continue to the lodge on paddle-canoes –motorized canoes are not allowed within the Napo territory. This majestic and peaceful dugout canoe ride down a narrow stream will lead you to the Añangu Lake, where the lodge is. Late afternoon arrival to the Napo Wildlife Center where you will be welcomed with drinks and shown your rooms and other areas of the lodge.

Adventure at the Napo Wildlife Center begins early in the morning! One hour away you will experience one of the most incredible nature spectacles: the first of the parrot clay licks. Arriving at about 7:30-8:30 AM it will take only moments before the birds appear. It is a real spectacle of colors, about 11 species of birds such as parrots, macaws and parakeets who visit the clay licks every day to feed with the minerals that are concentrated in the soil.
Later begin a hike along the forest trail to visit the Kichwa Añangu community to share time with the men, women and children of the community and learn about their every-day-life activities, routines and their ancestral customs and traditions. Following return to the creek and begin a short 30 minute hike through a Terra Firme forest until reaching the second parrot clay lick. Enjoy again a great variety of parrots, parakeets and macaws as you eat a delicious lunch made by the NAPO staff.
Late in the afternoon return to the NWC to rest and enjoy the lodge social areas and comfortable-luxury rooms.

Following a delicious early morning breakfast you will travel (30 minutes) to the Canopy Observation Tower, a high platform within the terra forme forest from which you will experience the most amazing views of the jungle. This wooden platform of 36 meters high was built just next a huge and ancient Kapok tree. Birds that are almost virtually impossible to see from the jungle floor will pass right through you. Flocks of vibrantly colored tanagers, blue-and-yellow macaws and large toucans fly past in the early morning and afternoon.
In the afternoon, following lunch served at the Napo Wildlife Center, you will go deep into a terra firme trail to discover the beautiful and mysterious wildlife that hides in the forest interior. There are great possibilities to see lizards, different species of monkeys such as the endemic Golden Mantle Tamarin monkey, rare and unique insects and even some scary snakes! As well explore the black water Añangu Lake and streams that are home of different species of fish and mammals such as the Giant Otter, a unique specie from the Amazon

Last day, you will depart after an early breakfast returning to Coca city, the same adventurous way you arrived; ride on a paddle-canoe to the docking area and then embarking on a motorize canoe to the jungle town. During this last excursion the creek may reveal new sights of rare bird species and monkeys and a Giant Otter will possibly show up to bid you good-bye! From Coca board your 11:40 AM return flight to Quito. Upon arrival at 12:20 PM you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Free afternoon and evening in Quito.

Following breakfast a guide will meet you at the hotel to begin an exciting full day private tour starting with a visit to the town of Calderon, famous for its handmade colorful bread dough figures. You will have the awesome opportunity to taste exotic fruits in the Guayllabamba valley. Afterwards cross the Equator Line at Cayambe where on a clear day, it is possible to admire its majestic snow-capped mountain (5,790 m.), the world´s highest point where the Equator Line crosses. Sample the famous salt biscuits with leaf cheese. At the foot of Imbabura mountain you will enjoy the picturesque view of Ecuador’s largest lake-San Pablo. Afterwards you will visit the famous Otavalo Indian Market followed by a visit to Cotacachi Village, which is known for its leather products, and enjoy a hike at the Cuicocha Crater Lake.
