Morning flight to Cusco. Upon arrival you will be greeted and transferred to Sol and Luna Lodge. On route enjoy the stunning scenery, the Pucara Bulls on the roofs of Andean homes and visit Awanakancha to see llamas, vicuñas and alpacas. Afternoon at your leisure to acclimatize.

Full day private tour at the Pisac Archaeological Complex, Market & Ollantaytambo. Appreciate the magnificent Andean terraces built to expand agriculture land. Visit the artisan market of Pisac, where you will have opportunities to interact with local people and appreciate their craftsmanship. Visit Urubamba, a 1 hour trip enjoying the scenery of the Sacred Valley and a local market. Following lunch (included) visit the town of Ollantaytambo’s religious, astronomical and military complex. Ancient Peruvians moved boulders of nearly 60 metric tons from one mountain to another across the river and valley. Return to your hotel.

Morning transfer to board the ‘Vista Dome Train’ to the Lost City of the Incas: Machu Picchu (1.5 hours). This train journey crosses valleys, mountains and typical communities. You will cross two different regions from the sierra to the rainforests, observing snow peaks, eucalyptus, deep canyons and finally orchids as you arrive. It is rated as one of the top 15 train journeys in the world. Upon arrival at noon you will be greeted and assisted to the hotel located on a serene 12 acre natural paradise. In the afternoon enjoy the hotel’s lovely facilities and explore Aguas Calientes town.

After an early breakfast, you will be escorted by bus (20 minutes) uphill to Machu Picchu Citadel. Begin your private tour of the Citadel and appreciate the history of this enigmatic and impressive place located between two mountains: the Machu Picchu (old mountain) and Huayna Picchu (young mountain), at the foot of which meanders the Vilcanota River (jungle featuring abundant flora and fauna). You will have the opportunity to hike Huayna Picchu or to the Sun Gate. Following lunch you will be assisted to the train station to embark on the Vista Dome Train arriving early evening into Poroy Station (Cusco). You will be transferred to your hotel.

Morning transfer to the Cusco Airport. Board your flight to Juliaca. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. On route enjoy a 2-hour excursion visiting the Sillustani Archaeological Complex, a pre-Inca burial ground near Puno.

Begin your tour visiting the floating island, known as “Uros” in Lake Titicaca. The original inhabitants of these floating islands are said to descend from one of the most ancient peoples of the Americas, and still practise their ancient traditions. Their dwellings made of totora reed, are built on the surface of Lake Titicaca. Afterwards visit the unique Island of Taquile, where time appears to have stopped. The Mediterranean atmosphere of this place is striking, with its steps of stone and its houses centred around the square. Its indigenous community consists of around 350 families descendants of the Incas and well-known for their textile activities. Lunch is included on the tour. In the afternoon you will return to the hotel.

Today enjoy a full day private guided Lima City Tour. Visit colonial Lima, the Cathedral, located in the Main Square and the tomb of Francisco Pizarro. Later visit the Church of San Francisco, its convent, Art Museum, cloisters and catacombs. Following visit Miraflores, where you will be able to admire the Huaca Pucllana Pyramid, an administrative and ceremonial center for the ancient pre-Columbian inhabitants of the Peruvian coast. Afterwards visit the Larco Museum, founded in 1926, with the largest private collection of pre–Columbian art in the world. Enjoy lunch at the Larco Museum Restaurant (included). You will complete your tour of Lima with a visit to the Bohemian neighborhood of Barranco, a neighborhood called home by countless artists, photographers, and authors. Walk along peculiar streets lined with Republican houses, admire the splendid views, and visit the Puente de los Suspiros (Bridge of Sighs), witness to untold numbers of past and present romances, and source of inspiration for one of Peru’s great composers, Chabuca Granda. Return to your hotel in Barranco.
